Only record found, to date, is 1900 Cenus record.
A Sarah Jane Hanspiker (no "d") married Jessie Smith, 14-Nov-1853, Ohio County, Kentucky. MUST be same family group as above. May have had a brother "Hadne", who appears in 1850 Kentucky Census. "Hadne" Handspiker listed as male, age 14 in 1850 Census for District 1, Henry County, Kentucky, page 399. He is listed with an Adams family. Born @1836, as census enumerated in September. The reason Hadne is in quotes is because of how it appears in the record. It APPEARS it is a shortcut name, much like Jos for Joseph, or Wm for William.
Both Hadne and possible sister (Sarah) are of the same generation as Peter's parents. So, COULD Hadne be Peter's father and Sarah an aunt???
There is also a listing of a Jonas Handspiker, marrying in Indiana, on 23-Jan-1845, to Barbara Phillippi, in Clark County.
Unsure, but believe te Mary E. Hanspiker who married Noble M. Evett in Crawford County, IN, on 05-Sep-1872, may also be related to this family.

[323] There are several sources which place Margaret in Phillip's family (father of Peter). However, with a birthyear of 1794, and marriage date confirmed with record of father as Peter, am listing her, solely, as daughter of Peter. HOWEVER, with a cautionary note that, due to prior sources indicating her as daughter of Philip, to have the reader bear that possibility in mind. My own theory is as follows: There was a daughter, Margaret, born to both Philip AND Peter. The one who married Robert Sparks, however, was daughter to Peter.
[748] POSSIBLY (bit of a longshot, here), the son of George Hersey and Melvina ?, who appears in 1871-1891 Censuses in that family, as 9, 17 and 26, respectively, which doesn't help place his birth year too closely, but a range of 1862-1865, which would work in terms of age range, when marrying Susan/Elizabeth. If such is the case, then we know Samuel and Susan/Elizabeth did not marry until after 1891, and were no longer married by 1899.

Sometimes seen as "Neta". Seen as well, as Samantha Anita Stark. Even addressed, on occasion as
"Rita." Can not remember where I saw her death year as 1941, but on gravestone, supposedly reads 1951.
