[752] Often called "Chic", owned a hardware store and restaurant in Marysville, New Brunswick. However, the Boss Gibson cotton mill in Marysville eventually went out of business, forcing Fred to find other work. Being skilled in carpentry, he worked on the construction of the C.F.B. Gagetown when it was being built in the late 1950's. With this experience, he went on to become a skilled and well-known carpenter and cabinet maker in the Fredericton area.
