[1620] Birthdate given as 1/5/1887, so could also be 01-May vice 05-Jan. According to some descendants, Joseph went by "Gus Peter". Died in a car accident. George and Florence initially entered to clarify the Amero/Barnes relationship of Florence. From Tim Sanford, it seemed as if two Florences married into the same family, to two brothers. There were supposedly a total of ten children of Ambrose/Ambroise and Jane Smith. This fits with listing in Query from Diane Amero on the Digby GenWeb site. Listed birth date in 1901 Canada Census is 03-Jan-1888 (transcribed as "Guesta???"). All children born in the Plympton area of Digby, Nova Scotia.

May also be seen as "Elizabeth Susan". Though no Susan or Elizabeth appears in Census records with Charles and Mariah (1871 and 1891) there is a marriage record to William, with the date of 12-Apr-1899, showing her parents as Charles and Mariah. This is not unbelievable, as she would have been around 18, come the 1891 Census, wasn't born for the 1871 Census and her parents don't even appear in the 1881 Census (at least not in Digby), so she could have been working/living somewhere other than with her parents. If she married Samuel, before the 1891 Census, she surely does not appear with him, if he's even IN the 1891 Census. She also does not appear in the strays index, and no Elizabeth OR Susan is found in any Tidd or Tibb-like surnamed family in the Digby 1891 Census records.
The fact that Samuel's son Arthur was born (in 1883?) to Susan is SERIOUSLY in question. Her gravestone indicates she was born in 1873, which would fit with her Census absences. Samuel COULD have been married, prior, for a very short period of time? This whole Tidd conundrum is quite frustrating.

[543] An Edward Clyde Williams, b. about 1865 in New Brunswick to James Dorset Williams and Samantha A. Holder. They were from Holderville, Kings County, NB. There is no marriage, nor children listed for Edward Clyde in the "Descendants of Henry Belyea & His Two Wives" (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cannbfam/belyea/) but this could VERY well be the right man to have married Marion Hanselpacker. Considering he was of the Kingston area, and they married in St John, it's not TOO far a leap of possibility. This would also make sense, if his mother was a Holder, his "closeness" to Capt Hugh Holder, him being a Captain, as well. If this suspected connection proves out, Samantha was descended through Samuel Holder (b. 1790 Kingston), who MAY have been a son of Jacob, grandfather of Capt Hugh Holder.
