Gavel children are listed as: (dau.), Katherine, Stella, Gertrude, Margaret, Stephen, George and Charles.
What could prove ultimately confusing is that a John Gable Handspiker married an Eva Barnes, while John Gabriel Gavel married Eval Amero. The two husbands names are separated mostly by the "Handspiker", as Gabriel and Gavel COULD be confused with Gable (an adoption possibly?).With the whole Barnes/Amero problem, the question arises as to whether or not there was some major confusion going on, or is it merely coincidence? Since parents were given for Eva Barnes as BARNES, I'm prone to believe it was merely coincidence, but comment is made here to tie in these two possibly conflicting marriages.
