ADAMS - Allan Stuart (Rev.)
= Rev. Allan Stuart Adams, dies at ae 91, a United Church of Canada Minister for 41 yrs, d. at the Turnbull Home on Wed after a brief illness. Born in Tilt Cove, N'f'l'd, he was s/o the late Abel & Catherine (Banks) Adams. Grad. of Mt. Allison Univ, class of 1912. First pastorate was in Labrador and from there had positions in the Maritimes, Newfoundland and Burmuda. Retired from his
last charge in Montague, P.E.I. in 1949. he lived in Oxford, NS, and for the last 4 yrs has lived in Saint John, where he was a mem. of St. Andrew and St David United Church. His wife, the former Bessie E. Weldon, d. in 1971. Survived by one dau, Jean, Mrs. Norval Eldridge, of St. J., one son, Donald S., Summerside, PEI, two sisters: Mrs. Emma Courtenay & Miss Winnifred, both of St. Johns, N'f'l'd, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Body at Castle Funeral Home, Hillsly, 91 Leinster St, from where funeral will be held on Fri at 2 pm. (#1/DG)

Hanselpacker, but that's even a stretch. 1906 date listed as date will was probated, likely near the time of his death, and in Canning Parish. John and family (John, Sarah, Hattie and "Fred") are found in the 1901 Census of Canada, residing: New Brunswick, Sunbury & Queens, district 22, Canning, sub-district J, sched. 1, reel number T-6444, page 13.
