Edward (and/or his father) was in Bergen County, New Jersey, as early as 16-Jan-1704, when he witnessed a land transaction of a Major John Berry to Juriaen Westervelt. The land in question, being situated between the Hackensack and Saddle Rivers. On 1-Sep-1716, it is MOST likely THIS Edward (Jr.), who, with wife Elisabeth, (then of Secaukus Island, Bergen County) sold to Henry Mayer (of New Barbadoes Creek, Bergen County) land on the Hackensack River (originally purchased by Edward Sr, then deceased), who sold it to Edward Jr. in 1710. The land is described as "between line of Nathaniel Kingsland and Bartholomew LaFeurt of New York and land of Hendrick Juriansen, Nicholas Kip and Thomas Francis... was purchased of Maj. John Berry of New York City.... 2nd tract purchased by Edward Earle Sr. in 1704 ... Kothawak River."
He is listed amongst the major landowners in Bergen County, New Jersey, in the Hudson/ Bergen history CD.

Was a private in the West NS Regiment (guessing WWII).
Have a problem with a marriage, as listed below:
Sept 23, 1927---Mr. Fraser Handspike of Digby and Miss Margaret Mailing of Bear River were married on Wed. eveing Sept 14th. att he home of Mr. Edgar Handspiker, Mount Pleasant, Rev. E.W. Forbes, Pastor of the Grace United Church, Digby performed the ceremony under a very pretty decorated floral arch. A large number of guests were present from town and elsewhere.
Before receiving this article, all sources pointed to Margaret Mailing marrying James Frank/Frank James Handspiker (b. 1898), not Fraser. Now, if the person WRITING the article somehow wrote down Frank in such a way that the typesetter (who may have heard of Fraser but not Frank/James), set it as Fraser, instead of Frank????? Much to be uncovered, once more.
