[643] Michel is a bit of a mystery. Not much is known about him, except that he was baptized in 1761 and his father was Johannes, mother Eva. Given the information that DOES exist, he could also be a candidate to be Coonrad's father, rather than brother. That is fairly likely, considering he's have been in his twenties in the 1780's, which is the likely birth decade for Coonrad. There is equal chance, Michel was the son of Johannes (the elder) and, therefore NOT the son of Johannes the younger (how he's currently listed in the database). That would surely make sense of the Eva/Elizabeth concerns, where Eva would be wife of Johannes the elder and Elizabeth of the younger? SO few facts to work with surrounding this family in this particular point in history.
[1244] She and Alexander, as listed in the cemetery listing in the Queens County Museum were "natives of New Jersey who came as Loyalists in 1783." She is also seen, sometimes, as Mary Van de Hoff.

Had a brother named John. They bought the Ross house property in 1839, from Thomas and Sarah Small (Culloden, NS). Ross house was built in 1840. The community, then, was called "New Scotland" (Nova Scotia). They purchased the 100 acres for 100 pounds. It is believed that John's home was built on the east half of lot 6D and that Olivers on the western half. The two brothers are BELIEVED to be the sons of Crawford Ross. Not much is known of the two. They both died in 1885.
In 1871 Oliver Ross (60); Mary Ann (44), were living with children Catharine, Mary Ann, John, Isabelle, William H., Alexander, and Adelaide. John (55) and Rosann (62) were living here with them.
[1778]
Place of birth was given as "Rechivacto".
Found a POSSIBLE birth record in online search of NB Archives, showing a date of birth of Edouard Roy, as 15-Oct-1889, at St. Marys, Kent, with parents listed as Cyril Roy and Genevieve Bastrasch. Nothing, as yet (Sep-2003) to confirm this is the same Edward. Based on same source, it would appear this same Edouard Roy married 30-Aug-1915 to Mathilda LeBlanc in Kent County. On son, Joseph's (Eric's) birth certificate, Edouar/Edouard is listed as a ?ayaillant-Ouvrier. Need to research, but suspect the "ouvrier" means "opener".
