Have also seen a marriage listed for Chipman to Lydia Adelia Kierstead (b. 25-Dec-1852).
Of course, another, by same name (No Gardner or G) listed as a laborer in 1896 St John Directory.
Question? Did Chipman have a son by same name?

[1227] Sydney was a Drummer with the Salvation Army for years and died in his eighties or nineties, but never married. Very concerned about whether or not this is Sydney Weir, as well? There is another researcher/relative who is a grandson of Laura Eisnor, who said there was a Burton Eisnor, who was actually born to Mabel and her first husband, who changed his name to Eisnor, later on. Perhaps, since Sydney came from CLARENCE's earlier family, Burton and Sydney were confused in on account, thereby showing Sydney as a Weir and nothing on Burton. More research required.

Quite possibly son of David and "Dolo" (believed to be Dolores) who married 1st in Guilford, to Marga L. Cox, when aged 22 on 12 Sep 1964, Marga was listed as aged 20, 2nd, in Colchester, to Davida F. Crabtree, when he was aged 40, on 28-Aug-1982, and Davida was aged 38.
Of Note: Hindinger Farm, a family farm in Hamden, grows fruit, vegetables, and flowers for their fruit and vegetable stand. The Hindingers offer pick-your-own strawberries in June, and on fall weekends, pick-your own apples and their corn maze.
Tel. 203-288-0700.
Reason to believe this IS the same family.
If so, there is a George E. Hindinger, b. 25-Apr-1897, who married a Margaret Gallagher, b. 13-Mar-1901, he died 11-Aug-1987, while residing on his farm in Hamden, Margaret died a year later, on 7-Dec-1988, same location. Margaret was born in Connecticut, as was George. Possible George's son, a George E. Hindinger married at age 22, on 12 Feb 1983, to a Denise M. Demaio, also age 22, at Hamden, CT.
David T. may have had a son by same name, who is listed in CT marriage records twice. First, of Guilford, CT, on 12-Sep-1964, at age 22, married Marga(ret) L. Cox, age 20. (NOTE: There is a Margaret C. Hindinger, who, on 16-Apr-1982, at age 37, res. Guilford, married a Salvatore Corso, also of Guilford, aged 43. They married in Middletown, CT. Another David T, VERY likely the same, in Colchester, CT, on 28-Aug-1982, aged 40, married Davida F. Crabtree, age 38. Since they both seem to have remarried in 1982, one COULD assume they were divorced in late 70's or early 80's.
The 1930 US Census for Hamden shows the following Hindingers in close proximity:
George, head, 48, M-23, CT, CT, CT, laborer at the iron works. (b. @1882)
Edith, wife, 47, M-22, CT, CT, CT, (b. @1883)
Adell, dau, 16, S, CT, CT, CT, (b. @1914) b. 25-Jul-1913 as Adell Louisa Hindinger, married 16-Apr-1938 to Dayton Galvin, b. 20 Jun-1911.
John, head, 75, M-24, CT, Ger, Ger, (b. @1855) - - - This puts him in US WELL before Carl/Karl who married Alice... uncle? Father?... hard to say - - -
Clara, wife, 68, M-18, CT, Ger, Ger, (b. @1862)
The other Hindinger (New Haven family) is listed as:
Julius C. Hindinger, 49, b. 1880
Margaret Hindinger, 40, b. 1889 (wife)
Barbara M. Hindinger, 7, b. 1922 (dau)
John I Hindinger, 4, b. 1925 (son)

Mott and Mary had:
Amos m. Betsy Skinner
Isaac m. Augusta Denton
Henry m. Martha Stewart
William m. Celia Jane Pugsley
James m. Sarah Little
Mary m. 1. James Eddis
m. 2. Jacob Hovey
Jane m. James McKenzie
Other child, Bertha, listed in 1861 Census with Mott and family. Mary, his wife, must have passed between 1859 and 1861, possibly in childbirth, if Bertha is truly her daughter.
