G.S. HANDSPIKER
Garnet Stailing Handspiker, 82, of Comeauville, formerly of Mount Pleasant died September 21 in Yarmouth Regional Health Centre. Born in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of the late Ainslie and Dora [Handspiker] Handspiker.He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the West
Nova Scotia Regiment. He worked for Maritime National Fish and Canadian Pacific Railway. Surviving is a sister Audrey [ Mrs. Cecil VanTassell ] Digby. He was predeceased by his wife Laura. and two brothers, Arnold and Osborne. Funeral was held Sept. 24 in Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, Digby with Rev. Craig Christen officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Digby. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.
