[1246] Some sources indicate she was born in Middletown, vice Freehold. However, it also appears the name of the town changed quite a bit in early colonial days. The Doorn family descends from the Van Doorn or Van Dorne family. The family came from Holland.

[1139] Crawford is the SUSPECTED father of Oliver and John.... no known proof yet exists that this is truly so. There is a Crawford Ross listed amongst those buried in Digby Cemetery (public), bur. 26-Nov-1836 at age 66, which would put him born about 1770. The only other Rosses in that listing are Isabella Ross, buried 6-Jan-1819, aged 81 (b.d. estimated at 1736), which would make her possible mother of Crawford listed on same list. Last one is Mary Ann Eliza Ross, dau. of Thomas Ross, bur. 15-Oct-1863, with no age listed. Not too much help, unless a sure connection can be made.
