[1639] St. Croix, Plympton, Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada is place of birth or marriage, but not likely both.
[566]
In Wiggins (A/93) we find, William, a U.E. Loyalist, was born in Scotland and settled in the American States in 1773. He came to St. John in 1783 in the ship Otter, Captain Burns; with his wife and three children. Subsequently he removed to the Grand Lake, and settled on the farm now owned by his grandsons, David and Henry Balmaire. While visiting his son-in-law, Barzilla Bailey, in St. John in the autumn of 1809, he accidentally fell from a window and was killed, aged seventy-two.
