The youngest son of Conrad, he had a long white beard and dark hair. Some curious problems with this family. Have seen David's b.d. from 1834 to 1843. Have also noticed in the 1901 Culloden Census, there is a David Handspiker listed as b. 1834, wife Lilly, daughters Alice and Sadie. Having looked over the dates I DO have and the Census, this is the same family. Sadie was born after dates I had. Makes sense, as the children I had listed were Rebecca's. Since Lilly (listed in Census) was born in 1865 or so, there is no way she would have been mother to the others. MAYBE to Sadie, as I am going to list. Seen confusion, also, with David Freeman, and with a David George. So, this does cause some major concerns, when certain associations were made prior to certain dates being known, and overcoming these may not be as easy as one might hope. Also noted as "David James George Handspiker". Lived in Culloden, and is the David (other than David W.) showing in the 1901 Census as living there.
No idea where the "George" comes from, unless either Conrad or William had another David (son) with that middle name. On David's death certificate, it lists his date of birth as 18-April, though this was previously believe to be his date of baptism. It also lists his parents as Conrad Handspiker and Jane Van Tassell, and his surviving spouse as Lylian Hansdpiker (aka Lily Kenny). So, we now know that David's 2nd wife went by no less than three spellings of her first name, and possibly the same for her maiden name.
His death certificate registration number is: 1922-02-067192
On baptismal record, his parents listed as Conrad and Jane.

Witnesses to his christening are: Michel Stor and wife Dorothe.
This MAY be the same William married to Leah VanTassel, but, equally likely is William, son of Conrad, Sr, which is how I'm going to leave that marriage, for now.
However, bear in mind, the William listed as son of Conrad is also listed as having 12 children. The chances that any one of those children could be this Williams, obviously exist.
