Ellen was Roman Catholic. Now, why I have that information, and/or what significance it has, well... is beyond me. Maybe Moses was NOT Catholic? Something of a barrier-breaking couple?
Has also been seen listed as Ellen Ganey. She appears with children Norah, John, Martha and Margaret in the 1880 US Census for Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts., though listed as aged 53. and head of household. Moses having passed prior??
Here's the listing:

MAY be the Eliza listed as the mother of Lillian (Spark) Weir, therefore wife of Chesley Spark. However, the Eliza listed below, could also be the daughter of Moses Handspiker and Ellen Grancy. Quite confusing. There's also a fair chance that Mary Eliza, married 2nd, to Charles Alex Adams? Showing as 40 in 1891 (near enough), and also, in same household of Charles Alex Adams is listed "Lillie Stark" age 19 (which surely fits), as "stepdaughter."
Date listed:Thursday, November 2, 1961
Decedent: Mrs Lillian Weir
Source :Digby Courier
Surnames: HANDSPIKER, SPARK, THERIAULT, WEIR

Some sources list a Rachel T. b. about 1780, marrying a John Packers, which may or may not be the right one. HER parents were Hendrick T. and Margriete Wanamaker. Both of Bergen County.
I also have a Rachel Traphage, b. 11 Dec 1775, bapt. 31 Dec 1775 at the Paramus RDC. Her parents are listed as Jonathan and Trientje. It is either this one, or the daughter of Hendrick and Margriete, who married John "Houselbekker" in 1795. Based on the "Packers" name, it's tempting to "pick" the daughter of Hendrick. However, if she was truly born in 1780, the chances are better for the daughter of Jonathan and Trientje, as she would have been closer to 20. Not a "cincher" by ANY means. Need some facts regarding children, by whose naming we may be able to determine the right combinations of couples vs. parents.
One Rachel (dau. of James b. 1782, Ulster County, NY) also married Peter Roos (at , having Jacob Wirte Roos in 1814 and Margret Maria Roos in 1817, in Saddle River. They were not MARRIED, however, in Saddle River (at least not listed in same records).
