This Peter has curious connections. By my best information, he is son of Conrad Handlespiker the Loyalist who emigrated to Digby area. By SOME accounts, Peter HANSELPIKER came directly from Germany (not too likely). By other accounts, he's the son of Philip (brother of Conrad), and came from NB, at some point. Much debate on the actual connection. The Peter born to Phillip was supposedly born in 1774 in New Jersey. John Simeon (son) is most likely the son of Simeon Smalle (Ferebee's first husband). There is SOME dispute, but, less and less so, over the years.
Peter died of cancer at age 82, the August before the December in which he would have turned 83. Some sources list his month of death as July, but in the Digby County Census of 1871, it lists the month of death as August. It COULD be either/or.
Buried in, what seems to be now, teh Forest Hill/Trinity Cemetery.

Some confusion on marriages. Show Martha as being in 22-Nov-1678, but listed as both Martha Tozier and martha Nash. There was a second marriage to Elizabeth Tozier, 11-Apr-1705, which might lead one to believe that Martha and Elizabeth were related OR, someone knew a first name (Martha) and a last name (Tozier) and put them together, incorrectly. To be further researched.
As if the confusion on his wife weren't enough, he was surely a son of Nathan Lord (Sr), but has two possible mothers. Judith Conley and Martha Everett. Because of the multiple Nathans, it appears the Martha Everett marriage is not the one that begat this Nathan. Interestingly enough, the date of marriage between Nathan Lord and Martha Everett, is IDENTICAL to the one of Nathan Lord (his son) and Martha Tozier. My suspicions are that someone has been "fixing" name combinations, and has therefore generated some ongoing errors in this line.
