Some records only account for children Arnold (Harold) Victor Handspiker and Osborne Edson Handspiker. No Garnet or Audrey. Additionally, since Dora isn't exactly a common name, and a Dora H. married L. Newton Ross - see below - I wonder if she was married twice?? Here's the obit for L. Newton (assume he'd have been her 2nd husband - Though, since Ainsley died only two years before (Leander) Newton Ross, I doubt it's the same Dora!):
Placed here as a placemarker, for when other Dora found. Perhaps it's that "Dorah"?
June 1963: " L. Newton Ross, retired fisherman, passed away June 28 at the Digby General Hospital following a short illness. Born at Culloden 79 years ago (14-Sep-1883, Son of John Ross, b. 19-May-1850 d. 1935), and except for a brief period of employment in the United States, was a lifetime resident of that village. Surviving are his wife the former Dora Handspiker; 3 daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Elliott VanTassel) Mount Pleasant; Dora (Mrs. Basil Tufts), Clyde River; and Aldyth (Mrs. Leo Kaye), Culloden; 5 sons, James, Marshalltown; John, Seabrook; Edward, Yarmouth; Frank and Robert, Culloden.
Obit for Dora in "DWC - 23-Jan-1985"
