Some real confusion due to her headstone in Digby, which reads: "1864-1850" Though most obviously chiseled by a near-sighted stonemason, it just reminds those doing this sort of research of the need for a sense of humor, and possibly a reason why some genealogists enjoy listening to PDQ Bach! (I'll let the reader figure that one out)

"From the Saint Croix Courier" Relatives and friends were saddened on Feb. 4 [1993], by the passing of Blanche May MacVicar She was born on dec. 3, 1916. Blanche MacVicar was wife of Milton MacVicar, Bonney River and daughter of the late Aldon and Nellie (Frost) Kinney, Second Falls. Her death occurred at Fundy Hospital after a long illness. She leaves to mourn, besides her husband, one daughter, Elizabeth and husband Carl DeLong; granddaughters, Carla DeLong, Woodstock and Natalie and husband Kenneth Hanselpacker, St. George. Dearly beloved and greatly missed by great grandchildren; Jeremy, Joshua, Jennifer, and Merven. She leaves two brothers, Harlon Kinney, Elmsville and Aldon Kinney and wife
Geraldine of Second Falls; sisters Minnie Brown, Lila Chambers, Marguerite
Craig, of Bonney River and Second Falls and Hazel Walsh of Brewer, Me., also
sister-in-law Myrtle Henderson, Canal.
The funeral was held from Second Falls United Baptist Church on Feb. 6
with the pastor, Rev. Gordon Graham conducting the service, assisted by the
church choir.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were Aldon Goodrich,
Douglas Frost, James Oliver, Hugh Parks Jr., Mark Taylor and Stanley
Spinney.
Blanche was a member of the Second Falls United Baptist Church. She
will be remembered for her many acts of kindness and hospitality to all.
