A Pearl Harbor survivor, member of the Yangtze River Patrol, during the 1920s and 30s in China. In 1929, his fleet baseball team played a game as part of the coronation ceremonies for Emperor Hirohito. He received a silk American flag from the Emperor as a thanks. He was a catcher.
