The death took place on Tuesday evening at her home, Mt. Pleasant, of Sarah Jane, wife of Venning Handspiker, aged 70 years. Mrs. Handspiker was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jane Stark of Culloden and was a granddaughter of John Stark who with his two brothers emigrated to this country from Scotland in the Ship "Mary Jane" in 1789, settling in Culloden. In early womanhood she moved to Waltham, Massachusetts, and lived their a number of years, but on her marriage to Mr. Handspiker settled in Mt. Pleasant where she has lived ever since. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Guilford - in Mt Pleasant and Lloyd in Manitoba. The funeral takes place tomorrow afternoon and interment takes place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
