There is a list of the sons' birthdays, but, no matching names to dates. So, here's the list:
26-May-1871 (b. Digby Gut), 3-Apr-1872, 31-Mar-1873 (b. Broad Cove), and 15-Nov-1875. Should find help on the Census? Nice thought! It's most likely that Charles B. was the 1875 son. And, since NONE of the children listed in the 1891 Census fit any of the first three, can only assume the three sons that "squeezed" in/out between 1871 and 1891 are the three whose birthdays remain "unclaimed." Those would be Howard, Robert and Clayton. The three would be 20, 19 and 18, at the time, so, without an 1881 Census of the family, I'm supposing they had moved out, by the 1891 Census.
Additionally, there's a Stillman Adams, who was listed with Charles in the 1871 Census, but on his own by the 1891 Census, at age 27. That would make him born in 1864, prior to marriage listed for Matilda Jane. He may also have been a younger brother of Charles'. Will be some time figuring this family out!
Some additional birthdays found on 1901 Census. However, that of "Eliza" was interesting to note as "1867", if it IS Mary Eliza, she really seemed to "hedge" her actual age. In the 1891 Census, the same Eliza was listed as 40 years old, which would have shaved only 1 or 2 years. With "born in 1867" listed in 1901, that would have made her 34 in 1901? 21 years the junior to Charles? A most interesting group, this one!
Charles went from being a farmer at Digby Gut, to a fisherman at Broad Cove in the early 1870's.

Could have been born in Ohio, Indiana, Iowa or Montana. More likely he came to Montana on his own, with Philip and Henry.
Frederick Bottler information from a book entitled "Progressive Men Of Montana".
In the article it states ..."Mr. Bottler is a native of Summit County,
Ohio, born on April 10, 1843, the son of Ernst and Catherine Bottler,
natives of Bavaria Germany. The article also goes on to say the family
"consisted of six sons and five daughters, three of the sons being heroic
soldiers of the civil war."

Also seen as Elmera (do NOT believe these are two, separate individuals). Witnesses to marriage Jacob Burns and Mary Hanselpacker.
Ralph E. Stevens lists Elmera as d/o Philip/Charlotte, but not w/o Springer, and lists Almira as w/o Springer but not d/o Philip/Charlotte. Fact that she was actually the d/o Philip and Mary is another interesting note. Suspect research was not AS focused on Hanselpacker, as it was on SPringer and other associated families.
[1325] Surely related to the Henry Henselbecker line, somehow. The Montana connection and spelling variation of the name make that a very solid assumption. It's merely a matter of placing her in the right generation and parentage.
