[284] CV1 shows death date of 22-Jul-1961. Confirmed online with BC Death Index, as the 19th of June. Perhaps he was buried on the 22nd?... Surely not a month later!

POSSIBLE children or relations of Edward and Flora found in Truro records are as follows:
In death records, provided by J.C.B. Olive, Funeral Director and Embalmer, Truro, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada lists -
1. Alexander Handspiker d. 22-Apr-1905 (aged 20)
2. Chester Handspiker d. 27-Aug-1901 (aged 9 months)
3. Stephen Handspiker d. 2-Oct-1910 (aged 4 months - not a candidate for a child of Flora, at least)
4. Effie Handspiker d 18-Mar-1900 (aged 1 year)
In 1907 "Directory" of Truro, are found the following entries:
1. Edward Handspiker - Carpenter - on Douglas (St, Rd, or Ave?)
2. Henry Handspiker - Employee at Lee's Livery - a boarder on Young Street
3. Stephen Handspiker - Boilermaker - residing on Young Street
This indicates that Henry may have been a brother to Stephen, as he is shown as a boarder, and most likely IN Stephen's home on Young Street. In mentioning Stephen, let us not forget the complexity of this family and its odd "interaction" with the Edwin Bartlett Handspiker family.
I also have recorded, from a since forgotten source, that Flora and Edward T. are buried in Salmon River, Nova Scotia, Canada. This is not exactly CLOSE to Truro! Interesting group, this Truro bunch. Much work needs to be done on this "undiscovered" line.
NOTE: This family is also listed, at times, as "Hanspiker" (without the 'd'). Due to THAT fact, Edward MAY be the father of John Hanspiker, b. 1907, d. 1973, father of Jack Edward and Nathalie Louisa Hanspiker? Will list those as a separate family, for now.

No Sadie is listed in 1901 Digby Census, and Effie is listed as born 1-Nov-1892, which doesn't fit at all with her being twin to Sadie. Nor, to theory about them being same person. The fact that Effie is NOT in the 1891 Census, and that Sadie is not in the 1901 Census, but the "figuring" of ages for both, would work on the CENSUS information as two separate individuals. If such WERE the case, Sadie would have possibly moved out of the house by 1901 (being 18-ish it's surely conceivable). Effie, if born 1892, would then NOT have appeared in 1891 Census. I suspect if they BOTH married Mr. Jacquard, that Effie was the 2nd marriage. That we need to look in 1901 Census for Jacquard and see if we find a Sadie!
According to Bill Hazelton and the "Hazelton Book", Effie and Sadie were twin sisters. Interesting they married the same man! Curious.
