From Delong Family records and comments from Herbert L. Delong of Halifax, NS:
"On 20 Sep 1815 a Mrs. DeLong with four daughters and one son were thrown out of the "Society" (U35). In 1815 this could only have been Experience and her daughters. This is interesting in light of Simon's association with the "Society" (see Memoir which follows). "Hanley Mountain. Mrs. DeLong her four daughters and son Henry DeLong all left the Society on the account of a misunderstanding between them and Brother Slocomb. To my own personal knowledge the DeLong were wrong. They would not meet in class with Brother Slocomb for which read them out of Society after going to them different times and trying to get them reconciled. Sep 1815 J.D." (PC1200 Annapolis (Granville) Circuit, Society Book) "
Wonder if the Slocomb being referred to is a relation to the Slocum family in the main genealogy???
