She was born on 4 August 1854 at Enfield, New Hampshire, USA. She was the daughter of Simon W. Horton and Polly M. G. Purmort. Flora M. Horton married Horace F. Kimball, son of Samuel M. Kimball and Nancy M. (Whittier) Whitaker, on 21 November 1875 at Grafton County, New Hampshire, USA. Flora M. Horton was buried in 1933 at Dunbar Cemetery, Grantham, New Hampshire, USA. She died on 23 March 1933 at Grantham, New Hampshire, USA, at age 78.

He died of cancer of the stomach, he was first diagnosed in 1934. He was listed as 70y 6m and 3d, at the time of his death. His residence, then, was 98 Prospect Street, Montpelier, Vermont. This structure no longer stands (as of 1993). His mother's name was listed on his death certificate as 'Gullaher' and his father as John H. Donnelly. Manus and Julia were married by Rev. Thomas Donahue, probably in Northfield.

In 1915, ditto, listed at 40 Hill, as were Ethel (book keeper), and Sarah E. (clerk).
In fact, Manus was part owner of 'Donnelly & Murley' granite company (on Granite St - or Ave), along with Joseph P. Murley.
Joseph was about 6 years younger than Manus, also b. Ireland.

1910 US Census was VERY TOUGH to track down. In fact, transcriber listed Manus as 'Mason H. Donnelly'. If not for the surname, would NEVER have found this family... other names were also butchered. Julia was Lulia, etc.

So, 1910 US Census for Dist. 293, Ward 5, Montpelier, Washington Co, VT, with such a BAD scan, only transcriber notes prove even remotely helpful:

Interesting... there's no record of Elizabeth in 1930 Census that I am able to find. This does fit with the fact that she died in April of 1930, so may not have been living during enumeration of St. Johnsbury. HOWEVER, in the 1930 Census of District 180, San Francisco, San Francisco Co, CA, is found one John Donnelly, aged 62, b. VT, father born Irish Free State, mother same, listed as an 'inmate' in a REHAB home for the 'aged and infirmed,' the 'Laguna Honda Home'. It also shows him as single, so not sure, if, indeed, this is the right John, why he would not have been listed as either married or widowed. If the one in CA is NOT the right John, he is likely just plain not enumerated in 1930 US Census! MY problem is, if he was in a home for aged and infirmed in CA in 1930, how/why does he then return to St. Johnsbury and die there in 1950? He was naturalized; Carriage Painter. He was born in January 1868 at Vermont, USA. He was the son of John (H.) Donnelly and Sarah Anne (Galleher\Galaher) Gallagher. John Arthur Donnelly married Elizabeth McLeod on 19 September 1921 at Lyndonville, Vermont, USA. John Arthur Donnelly died on 9 July 1950 at St Johnsbury, Vermont, USA, at age 82.

James died at the Mayo Memorial Hospital in Northfield, VT, of Congestive Cardiac Failure, due to hypertension, chronic nephritis, and cirrhosis (hepatitis). He was born on 12 February 1870 at Wheelock, Caledonia County, Vermont, USA. He was the son of John (H.) Donnelly and Sarah Anne (Galleher\Galaher) Gallagher. James Alfred (Alvord) Donnelly died on 7 May 1941 at Northfield, Washington County, Vermont, USA, at age 71. Northfield News - 01-Oct-1901:

'Annie, wife of John Cannon, died at 11:30 Sunday forenoon at her home on Cross Street of complications of jaundice. She had been ill only a few days and her death was unexpected. She is survived by a husband and three children, her mother, Mrs. Sarah Donley, and four brothers; Alfred of this place, Manus and John of Montpelier, and Daniel of Lyndonville. The Funeral service was held in the Catholic Church this forenoon at nine o'clock, Rev J. P. O'Neill officiating. Interment was made in the new Catholic cemetery.'

In 1910 US Census, there are two girls residing with Mathias, Annie's father-in-law. I suspect these two, Althea and Margaret, are the other two children, as one was born 1900 and the other 1901, likely SHORTLY before Annie died. Doubtful they were born in Northfield, as I found no mention of any Cannon children being born in that timeframe in their birth index. Doesn't mean they weren't, just that it's unlikely. I found no birth record for Jennie May Averill, either, and it is certain she was born in Northfield. So, not every birth has been recorded.

Pictured map shows location of Cross Street in Northfield, in relation to Wall Street (thereby also Summer St.). She was born on 8 June 1875 at Wheelock, Caledonia County, Vermont, USA. She was the daughter of John (H.) Donnelly and Sarah Anne (Galleher\Galaher) Gallagher. Anna (Hannah\Annie) J. Donnelly married John L. A scary 'coincidence?' - an Edward 'L.' Kimball married a Lilla B. Moore on 26-Apr1888 at Easthampton, MA, he was 23, she was 24... Would be right on for him, except parents listed as Francis H. It's also not likely that Lilla B. could be Lillian Brook (not to say she could not have married, prior, but.. if she was born in 1867, she'd have been 21 at date of marriage, not 24, as listed. She was born on 9 August 1867 at Poplar, London, Middlesex, England. She was the daughter of Henry Brook and Amelia Laura Jane Knight George. Lillian Alpha Brook died on 24 July 1902 at age 34.

Filed for someone who served in the 'D' 1st Vermont Infantry, but filed in Massachusetts. Appears to have been filed on 3-Jan-1927 or 29. He was born on 29 November 1877 at Sherbrook, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Henry Brook and Amelia Laura Jane Knight George. Fabian Henry Brook married Fannie Elizabeth Sanborn, daughter of Frank H. Sanborn and Ellen ?, on 7 January 1903 at Malden, Massachusetts, USA. Fabian Henry Brook was buried in 1956 at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Orange County, Florida, USA. He died in July 1956 at Florida, USA, at age 78.
