'Jacques Ritchot was the son of Richard Nason and Shuah Colcord. He was born in South Berwick ME. In 1690, a group of French militiamen and Abenaki Indian warriors raided Sturgeon Creek where the Nason family lived and brought many villagers to Canada as hostages. Jacques was among them. His father was killed, his mother latter remarried to John Douglas in ME. He was baptised Jacques Ritchot in 1691 (he was about 8 or 9 years old). His name was a french translation of his father's first name. His mother was called Suzanne Calquet in the baptism record.

He grew up in St.Francois-du-Lac, probably in the Crevier family who employed him and married Elisabeth Dubois-dit-Brisebois.' He was born in 1682 at South Berwick, York County, Maine, USA. He was the son of Richard Nason and Shuah Colcord. Jacques Ritchot was baptized on 6 January 1691 at St Francois-du-Lac, Yamaska, Quebec, Canada. He married Elisabeth Dubois-Brisebois on 23 September 1703 at St Francois-du-Lac, Yamaska, Quebec, Canada. Jacques Ritchot died on 8 April 1729 at St Michel, Yamaska, Quebec, Canada.

NASHUA ­ Ruth H. Donnelly, of 10 Allds St., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at the Hunt Community.

Born in Maxville, Ontario, she came to the United States with her brothers and parents. She was a graduate of Waterbury (Vt.) High School and the University of Vermont. She completed graduate studies in special needs education at Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass.

Mrs. Donnelly began her teaching career in Vermont and later taught in Brockton, Arlington, Cambridge and Winchester, Mass. While living in Brockton, Mass., she was known for her work with special needs children and was instrumental in the implementation of special needs education in the Brockton public schools.

She was a member of the Ladies Circle in Bedford, and the Garden Club and Couples Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold F. Donnelly, who died at Hunt Community in October 1988.

Family members include a son, Harold F. Donnelly Jr. of Hudson, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Marshall of Amherst, Leah Siebert of Winchester, Mass., and Valerie Donnelly of Quincy, Mass; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
