Based on 1900 US Census records, I can't accept BOTH Austin and Sidney being of this direct family. ONE, most likely, is a cousin or adopted son, or something. NOTE: Upon further research, Austin is son of Obediah, whild Sidney/Sydney is son of Horace Morgan.

In 1910 US Census for New London, Merrimack, New Hampshire, an addition to the family, a granddaughter for Austin, named Evelyn Morgan, listed as 4 years of age (b. @1906). In 1910 for Wilmot, she's also listed with Walter and Ida, so believe, unless two brothers had identically named daughters in the same year, that Evelyn must have been enumerated in two families. Not all that unusual, actually. He was born on 1 March 1838 at Sutton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA. He was the son of Obediah Morgan and Huldah Messer. Austin Morgan married Mary Gilmore Fellows, daughter of Harrion Fellows and Julia Presby, on 6 January 1867 at Sutton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, USA.

Based on 1900 US Census records, I can't accept BOTH Austin and Sidney being of this direct family. ONE, most likely, is a cousin or adopted son, or something. Children are not born four months apart!

After further research, it appears Sidney was the son of Horace Morgan and Mary Ann Chadwick (WFT Vol 72, Tree 297) How Horace might connect with John Morgan/Obediah family is still not certain (Apr-2003).      William Thompson Drigg Parish is right on the Cumbrian Coastline, just north across the River Mite from Muncaster.

NOTE: Still not 100 percent about this line. It IS the Most Likely line of descent for Joseph Thompson, but as common as his name is, even in a small town like Dean/Great Clifton/Braithwaite, there is some room for error. Gut feeling is that this IS the correct lineage.

In 1851 Census, full listing of places of birth. Also, William listed as farmer of 175 acres.

Is Joseph Strickland son of sister of William's or son of sibling of Jane's?

As born 1861 does NOT appear in that census.

Unrecognized GEDCOM data: Unknown GEDCOM tag: at Searsmont, Maine, USA. Mabel W. Fenner was naturalized; Nurse. She Mabel W. Fenner, age 17, shown in 1910 US Census for Malden, MA, listed as
daughter, but not with whom listed. is shown in different abode (147). Listed
as an 'institutional nurse'.
Previous connection to Anna M. Chapin, possibly in error. This is, after all,
a 'supplemental' record, so likely was not listed with rests of Fenner family,
which should be listed in abode 147.

Was STILL likely same Mabel Fenner listed as 'nurse maid' at the Convalescent
Home for Children in Wellesley, MA:

1910 US Census, Wellesley, Norfolk, MA, at what appears to be 'Forest' Street,
the employees of The Convalescent Home of the Children's Hospital:

Pop-up Pedigree

Nellie I. Phillips The following census records match with what is surely known about Nellie by her daughter, Betty:

1910 US Census, full record:

Monson, Hampden, MA, in District No. 12, abode 51, family 69:

Previous house/farm:
Stacy, Herbert, head, m, w, 34, M1-6,
Stacy, Alice, wife, f, w, 33, M1-6, 1/1,
Stacy, Adeline, dau, f, w, 4, S,
Costello, Teresa, boarder, f, w, 23, S

next house:
Stacy, James L., head, m, w, 67, M1-35, MA, VT, MA, Farmer, House Farm
Stacy, Bessie A., wife, f, w, 62, M2-38, 2/2, MA, MA, MA, housekeeper, Farm
Boarding House
Stacy, Ernest E., son, m, w, 23, S, MA, MA, MA, laborer, Home Farm
Mann, Mildred M., state boarder, f, w, 10, S, MA, MA, MA, none
Phillips, Nellie, state boarder, f, w, 8, S, MA, MA, MA, none
Phillips, Mildred, state boarder, f, w, 4, S, MA, MA, MA, none

This looks like the Nellie and Mildred in questions were sisters, and possibly orphans.

1920 US Census for Brimfiled, Hampden, Mass, residing on a 'farm' with
Charles W. Waldron (70) and wife, Mary S. Waldron (73), and a daughter of
theirs, possibly Bertie Barnes? age 46, widow (in 1910, she was Bertie A,
divorced, w/ dau., Bertie M. Barnes, age 13 b. NY (same for all Waldrons)
and possible ex-husband was living with family as a hired man, Dwight M.
Barnes):

Nellie I or G Phillips, state ward, f, w, 18, S, MA, MA, MA, bookeeper,
(some sort of store)
Mildred I or G Phillips, boarder, f, w, 14, S, home

Continuing with Nellie 'G' Phillips.... she appears in 1920 US Census at Brimfield, Hampden, MA, age 18, and 'State Ward'. She's not longer in the 'Stacy' house, but living with Charles ?Waldron? and wife Mary. Interestingly enough, at 18, she's a 'State Ward, but at 14, Mildred is listed simply as 'boarder.' In 1920, Nellie is working as a bookkeeper in some kind of
store.

Unless the first or last name are incorrect, this is the ONLY Nellie Phillips appearing in 1920 and 1910 US Census, that even CLOSELY matches, in age, Nellie (Phillips) Eldridge.
