HOWEVER, wife listed as 'Anna' so not so sure have exact family. All members of family listed as born in Illinois, George listed aged 30 and 'Anna' as age 27. Since Frances was listed as b. 1900, either this is incorrect family, or, Frances was 2nd wife and Anna might have passed away prior to George marrying Frances?????

Search at worldconnect.rootsweb.com indicates A George Brigham married to Anna Elizabeth Pretzlaff (b. 15-Dec-1882, Sibley, Ford, Illinois). This Anna does NOT fit with the 1920 Nebraska Census record, as she and HER George (aged 44) are listed in Indiana in 1920 Census. However, it also indicates that George was a dairy farmer in Indiana, and they were married in Portland, Indiana. (This listed for future research, so as not to confuse these two families). He was born on 4 November 1889 at Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA. He died in July 1970 at Nebraska, USA, at age 80.

Thomas Spencer Brown Possibly of Yorkshire, England. Likely arrived in NS, @1760-65, from England. Soon after 1767, when he marred Mary, Thomas became owner of a farm, a little east of Bridgetown, Annapolis County.

From Calnek's History of Annapolis County:

'Tradition says the progenitor of this family was a native of England, probably of Yorkshire. I have not been able to fix the precise
time of his advent to the province or county, but it could not have long after the arrival of the Massachusetts immigrants in 1760 for in 1767 he married a daughter of Peter Starratt, one of those settlers then living in Granville. Soon after this event, Mr. Brown became the owner of a farm situated about two miles to the eastward of Bridgetown, on which he settled and reared his family.

The farm is still owned in part by one of his great grandsons. Though the family has not been very prolific it has always
maintained a reputable position in the community of which it formed a unit, and presents one of the comparatively few instances in which the original homestead of the progenitor has descended in direct line from father to son during four successive generations. This fact of itself is sufficient witness of the thrift industry, economy and perseverance of the family.' He was born between 1730 and 1747 at Yorkshire, England. He married Mary (Starrett) Starratt, daughter of Peter Starratt and Eleanor Armstrong, on 1 June 1767 at Granville, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada. A native of White Plains, NY, he was a Norwalk resident for most of his life. A retired carpenter, he was a member of Local 746, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and Our Brothers Lodge IOOF of Norwalk.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John W. Gandrup of Norwalk: two brothers, Ernest Gandrup of Georgetown and Frederick Gandrup of Norwalk; three sisters, Mrs. Christina Wheeler of Norwalk, Mrs. Esther Hvolbeck of Byram? and Mrs. Ruth Morgan of Westport and many nieces and nephews.'
