John Tuttle Sailed from Bristol, England in 'Angel Gabriel' in 1635. First to Ipswich, Massachusetts, and by 1640, to Dover, New Hampshire. He is probably descended from the Tuttle Family of Devon, England. Also, probably had daughter Dorothy, who married 1-Sep-1686 to Samuel Tibbets of Dover.
One line of possibility involves John being married prior to Dorothy, in England, to Joan Antrobus. This supposed marriage @1627 at St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England, begat two children, Abigail (04-Nov-1628 in Northamptonshire), and Simon, (10-Jan-1630 in Hertfordshire). A bit of a stretch, in my currently held opinions on the early lines of the Dover, NH Tuttle line. Would be interesting to see supporting documentation.
Should the first marriage prove correct, AND, should the Simon born of that marriage also be correct, I would be more likely to believe the proposed ancestral line of John, w/ John being s/o Symon Tuttle and Isabel Welles/Wells. He was born circa 1618 at
possibly Devon, England. He married
Dorothy _____ circa 1639 at
Dover, New Hampshire, USA. John Tuttle died in June 1663 at
