Birthyear shown on 1901 Culloden Census is 1841, previously recorded as 1844 (wishful thinking on HER part?). She is also listed as age 40 in 1881 Canada Census.
Other Adams who MAY be related to Henrietta, possibly another brother and maybe a 2nd wife to Robert? or a first wife??? in the thicket across the road from the church in Culloden where Betty Giovanazi copied the inscriptions on 2 tombstones. One read "In Memory of John Adams died June 3, 1910 aged 65 yrs & 8 Mos" and the other read "In Memory of Eleanor Adams died May 14, 1879 aged 83 Yrs at Rest". This John could be a brother, half-brother or cousin to Henrietta, as his year of birth would be around 1845(ish). Eleanor, on the other hand, possibly John's mother? Born around 1796?
14-Dec-1923 article in Digby Courier announced the celebration of Henrietta's 82nd birthday on the Saturday evening before, with some of her relatives from Bay View.
One year after she died, her daughter, Margaret (Middleton) memorialized her with the following memoriam, appearing in the Courier on 24-Aug-1928:
"In a graveyard softly sleeping
Where the flowers gently wave
Lies the one we loved so dearly
In her lonely silent grave
Oh, I miss my mother darling
And I see the empty chair
But we hope one day to meet you
In that mansion bright and fair."
Tombstone #3 in EFB Cemetery.
