According to SSDI, both James and Bertha were living in Kearny, Hudson County, New Jersey, at the times of their deaths. So far, the SSDI is the only source for dates on James.
NOTE: Found a James L. Hutchinson family (wife Bertha) listed in the 1920 US Census, in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. BE CAREFUL, by dates and names of children, this is NOT the right family.
By 1930 US Census, family was living in Bergen, New Jersey:

[707] 77 in 1901 Culloden Census, a widower. There are three William Henry Starks all born in 1820's or thereabouts. Son of William, son of Joseph and son of George. Who are all, I might add, thought to be sons of John Stark! The William listed as father to Mary "Middleton" is William b. 19-Nov-1823.
