E-mail from Douglas Rankin, grandson of Wallace Addison, indicates the following likelihood of Amelia's parentage. Amelia's daughter was Wallace Addison's cousin, which indicates they shared the same grandparents (Addison). Wallace had a brother, George (another cousin to Amelia Helen Hanselpacker). Wallace and George had a father named Havalock/Havelock Addison. He would have been, most likely, Amelia Addison's brother.
In his comments, Douglas mentioned that he remembered the Addisons being Tories. Said he was pretty sure "Helen" never married, but was fairly close to his grandfather, who would send her a few dollars every month, and his mother continued that practice, until "Helen" died in 1968.
In 1881 Canadian Census, Amelia A. Hanselpacker appears as follows:
b. <1852> New Brunswick, age 29, married, English, Baptist. Appearing on same records w/ Isaac listed as head of household.
Originally had marriage date listed as 1878 OR 1883, but after viewing the 1881 Census, believe the 1883 date to be in error. And, after receiving NB Newspaper extracts, have date of marriage now as 17-May-1880, in Lynn, Massachusetts, by the Rev. Henry Hinckley. Was listed as "From St John, NB" in newspaper article listing her marriage to Isaac, as was he.

From what I've been told, Carrie is buried in the St. George Rural Cemetery, along with most of the family in that area. However, in the time I had to document this information, I did not have the time to be shown her marker.

William H. Parker born @1840 in Yarmouth N.S. married
Adelia P. Handspiker @1873 moved to Mass. 1873
Marriage record/date from online records at Canada GenWeb website, in their archives.
This matches, of course, with his listing as single in 1870 US Census for Gloucester, MA. One would think he must have "gone home" to marry??? Quite possible, back in the day, I'm sure. It also explains why they married and immediately "moved" to Gloucester. He was already an established fisherman in the area, so likely had to get back to his work.
Other indications in Census records indicate they married closer to 1880. His listing as M-38 and hers as M-31 in 1910 Census indicate a marriage date later than the 1872 listed. Is that date for Adelia/Dahlia's first marriage? Are her children, listed in 1880 US Census, William's or a previous husband?
1880 US Census for Ward 2, Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts:
Wm. H. PARKER Self M Male W 38 NOVA SCOTIA Fisherman NS NS
Adelia PARKER Wife M Female W 28 NOVA SCOTIA Keeping House NS NS
Chas. S. PARKER Son S Male W 8 MA At School NS NS
Elva D. PARKER Dau S Female W 3 MA NS NS
NOTE: Though not listed in 1900 Census with family, Dahlia (Adelia) is listed as "M" vice "Wd".
1910 US Census for Gloucester, MA, shows:
Parker, William H., head, m, w, 70, M?-38, Can, Can, Can, arr. US-1850, Laborer-odd jobs
Robichau(d), Mary A., servant, f, w, 26, S, MA, Can, Can, Housekeeper-private family
