Perhaps seen as Robert Anderson. Dates on children taken from combination of 1920/1930 US Census for Gloucester, Massachusetts. Residence listed as #3 Curtis Square from 1888 through at least 1930. Dates confirmed and "upgraded" using the SSDI. Believe Roderick may have passed on by the 1940's, as there is no indication he ever received a SSAN, unlike Bertha and the children.
In 1888-1889 Gloucester Directory, Roderick is listed as a printer... in 1890-1891 directory, listed as working in a glue factory. In 1920 Census, he's a Fish Handler at the Wharf, in 1930, a Laborer at the Water Works.
His son, Sherman, at age 11, in 1920, seems to appear in both his own family census and that of his mother and his brother.
