At Douglas Rural Cemetery, Douglas Parish, New Brunswick, the following is transcribed:
John Burpee, 6-May-1881, ae. 87. This is a bit off from family tree records, but, close enough to warrant the question of which date is correct? 81 and 84 could easily be confused if there is a lot of wear on the tombstone, and, 6 and 7 May could be date of death and burial? Believe Hannah Savage would have been second wife, and Hannah McCallum, the first wife.

Apparently, she also went by "Ella" in census records, as indicated in 1930 Census for New Haven, CT:
#152 Read Street (looks like Read, anyway):
Hindinger, Ella, head, f,w, 50, Wid, CT, Canada, England, Hotel Maid.
", David, son, m, w, 20, S, CT, Germany, CT, Clerk (at firehouse?)
", Thomas, son, m, w, 18, CT, Germany, CT, none
Mmmmm... some concern on this one. Seems an SSDI record exists for Ella Hindinger, as follows:
SSN: 048-30-0225, Hamden, CT, b. 1-Jan-1895, d. Jun-1972. Perhaps, then, Alice and Ella are NOT one and the same person. However, this does cause wonder as to whether or not Carl/Karl married twice. Alice appears as such in CT Death Index, but not in SSDI.. Ella, in SSDI AND CT Death Index, but no listing of husband's name. Something to work on, I suppose. Dates are reflected as stated, with one dying in 1954, the other in 1972.
