[1312] Ensign in the Rev. War. Lived at and is buried in Queenstown. John, along with sons; William, John and James, were soldiers and promoters of the Provincial Militia. William fought in the War of 1812. John and James were twins, and located at Lower Cambridge. The land on which the Baptist Church in Lower Cambridge sits was donated by the Colwells.
