[1802] NOTE: This line ties into the Purdy line on the other family database, as one daughter of John and Rachels' was Mary, who married Francis Purdy (b. 1616), s/o John Purdy and Alice Taylor (at least by the Brundage line's account).

May have had a brother, Edward, also in Queens County (aged 60) in 1901 Canada Census.
Listed in 1896 McAlpine's Directory as a Farmer residing at White's Cove, Queens, NB.
1871 Canada Census for Cambridge, Queens Co, NB:

Durost Henry M 26 NB Baptist Dutch Farmer M
Durost Mary F 19 NB Baptist Dutch M
Durost William M 1 NB Baptist Dutch
Durost Edward M 18 NB Baptist Dutch Labourer
Welch Sarah F NB Baptist Dutch
Though no date is listed for "Sarah Welch", suspect this person to be sister or mother, or maybe an aunt to Mary???
Curious on relationship of this James (who usually went by Henry) to James W. H. Durost, shown aged 70 in 1871 Cambridge, Queens, NB Census, and his wife, Jane, aged 56 in same Census.
From rubycusack.com:
Query 98-525
Durost-Drost: I am looking for the parents of James W. Durost (born about 1800 in N.B.) who appears in Cambridge in the 1861 census as James Drost and in 1871 as James Durost. I am also interested in locating any descendants of James. The children listed in the two censuses are: Lavina; Charlotte; Edward; Henry; Emily; Eliza; John W.; Isaiah, Martha M., Sarah G., and Lemuel A. (known as Allen).

Found above "family" (a bit "broken" by 1881) on familysearch.org, as follows:
In Wicklow Parish, Carleton, NB:
James H. DROST M Male Dutch 74 New Brunswick Farmer F C Baptist
Charlotte DROST M Female Dutch 54 New Brunswick F C Baptist
Allan H. DROST Male Dutch 21 New Brunswick Farmer F C Baptist
Shepard DROST Male Dutch 17 New Brunswick Farmer Son F C Baptist
Annie DROST Female Dutch 15 New Brunswick F C Baptist
Emley DROST Female Dutch 12 New Brunswick F C Baptist
Charles DROST Male Dutch 14 New Brunswick Farmer Son F C Baptist
Concern that two families may be mixed, here. The James who married Mary (seems b. 1800) and the one who married Charlotte (seems born closer to 1807). ARE these the same man?
There are so many variants of the surname, that one can go from French to German, from Durost to Drost to Dross to Droste... Some claim the Drosts who ended up on Carleton Co., NB, are descendants of Peter Dross (of German extraction), a UEL who arrived in NB in 1783, along with the vast majority of Loyalists. Based on several searches, seems the Dross name, seen also as Droese, has its origins in Prussia. This would make sense, as many of the German Loyalists came from Prussia.

[604] Was aged 7 months during 1920 Census, enumerated in January of 1920. On her death record (at the cemetery) she is listed as 63, 0 months, 0 days. Would THINK that means she died on her birthday. Which actually fits with being listed a 7 months of age in January 1920! Died of dehydration inanition (no idea)... Residence at death was listed as 75 Boynton Street, Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. She was buried at "double depth" in order to accomodate her husband, Charles, later being buried on top of her.
