Notes: Date obituary notice appeared in the New Brunswick Courier is listed as 18-Oct-1845. The main progenitor of Hanselpackers in New Brunswick, to be sure. At least those on record. His name appears on three Land Petitions, in the early 1800s. First , in 1819, with ONLY his name on the petition. Second, in 1820, with Vincent White and Henry Manzer. Third, with several others, in what appears to be a land petition for the Waterborough Anglican church and/or pastor, in 1827. There is a Hanselp acker (no first name listed) who appears on a Land Petition in 1809 in Sunbury County. This may be John or his father, Phillip. Hard to know without more details. There was a John "Hanselpecker" who appears on an 1809 Land Petition in Queen s County with a James Hunter. He seemed good at managing funds and/or property. In 1822, on 22 and 25 July, respectively, he registered two parcels of land, 400 acres on the 22nd and 500 acres on the 25th. Both "with one other" and both in Water borough, Queens County, New Brunswick. Also, there are some sources that list THIS John H. as the son of William H. and Mary Ann Clark. He is said to have settled in Scotchtown, at some point in his life. First children were born in Grand Lake, then, sometime before 1808, the family moved to Waterborough, then, a bit later, around 1813, possibly to Gagetown? All pretty local to one another, but this is figured from the places where the children we re from at time of baptisms.
