"The tall erect form of William A. CLARK will no more be seen on our streets. He died at the residence of his son-in-law, Geo. H. SIMMONS on Sunday last from cancer in the stomach. Mr. Clark was in his 77th year and years ago was one of the mos t prosperous manufacturers in the city. The principal lumber firms received their supply of boots at his factory, but a succession of lumber failures brought severe loss and some 12 or 15 years ago he withdrew from business on an extended scale . About four years ago, finding his health failing, he took up his residence at Lakeville Corner, Grand Lake (Queens Co.). He is survived by his second wife, one son, Chas. N. CLARK, boot and shoe manufacturer, and two daughters, Mrs. Geo. H. SIM MONS and Mrs. John EDWARDS. The funeral took place Tuesday, the services at house and grave performed by Rev.
