[1120] VANCE - Peacefully at his residence on April 22, 1995, Mr. Norman Grant Vance of St. George in his 75th year, husband of Mrs. Avis (Hanselpacker) Vance. Son of the late Albert and Ida (Parker) Vance. Survived by his wife; one daughter, Paulette Graham of Calgary, Alberta; four sons, Gary and his wife Ramona, Larry and his wife Kim, Wayne and his companion Yvonne, and Greg and his wife Kim, all of St. George, 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother Glen and his wife Dorothy of Lake George; one sister Naomi (Mrs. Clarence Henry) of Magundy, N.B., several nieces and nephews. Born in Lake George, N.B. on July 20, 1920, he served in World War II in the Carleton and York Regiment. He was owner of Vances Garage Ltd. and Vances Auto Supplies Ltd., and was a former Deputy Mayor as well as a councilor for the Town of St. George for several years. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George. A funeral service will be held at the St. George United Baptist Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
