The remains of Oscar FRITZ s/o Capt. J. FRITZ, residing on corner of Pitt St. and Elliot Row (St. John) arrived in the city by steamer from New York on Saturday eve. It will be remembered that about Christmas time, while the deceased was with his father's vessel, the 'Low Wood', at Antwerp, he was seized by an attack of bleeding at the nose, which continued to flow until he bled to death. The body was put into a leaden coffin and carried to New York where the 'Low Wood' arrived last week. Young Fritz was 16 years of age. He was buried at Fernhill Cemetery, St John, New Brunswick, Canada. He was born on 4 February 1862 at Wilmot, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the son of Jacob Fritz and Eliza Jane Slocomb.
