Samuel Kimball THIS is Samuel ?B? Kimball, Esq, so likely same who was selectman in Wilmot in 1820s. This means, he MAY also be father of Micah and Jonathan.... perhaps! Can't seem to fit this Samuel who married Elizabeth Hartford with one of same timeframe who married Elizabeth Hoyt, due to marriage dates and DOBs of children. They MUST be two separate Samuel Kimballs with ties to Andover, NH. It is my opinion that the mentions of 'Squire Kimball' as an owner of a 'mercantile business and woolen manufacturing industy' in the Sullivan/Merrimack County histories is this man.
Would suspect THIS is the Samuel found in 1830 Census for Wilmot, listed along with Micah. That would make HIM teh Samuel born between 1770-1780.

Seems that MANY of his children accompanied him on his move to Elgin, Illinois!
In the 1840 US Census for Kane County, Illinois, it would seem Samuel was joined by at LEAST the following sons:
John L., Algernon S., and William P., there was also listed as HoH in same county, a George W. Kimball, though Samuel's son was only 10, so not him. Same for a Jonathan, but he was son of the Samuel (1749) of Hopkinton. He was born on 7 June 1781 at
Newton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, USA. He was the son of
Samuel Kimball and
Elizabeth Hoyt. Samuel Kimball married
Elizabeth 'Betsy' Hartford, daughter of
John Hartford and
Polly Sanders, on 11 March 1802 at
Andover, New Hampshire, USA. Samuel Kimball died on 9 August 1849 at
Elgin, Illinois, USA, at age 68.
