What we learn of Harris Harding Lent (b. Mar-1845) is he was son of Rev. James Lent and Elizabeth Harding (b. 1811, NS). NO listing of a brother James in family records. Harris could POSSIBLY be the one listed in 1870 Census for NY, living in Brooklyn, though without further info, not going to jump quite yet to that assumption. Harris IS listed in 1900 and 1910 US Census records, living in Milford, Worcester, MA. What relation is Harris to James?

The original census record shows all of these four in family 25. This leads me to the conclusion that William married Maud Lent, d/o Wallace, and they had a daughter, Mildred. This does not show quality census taking techniques, as such a conclusion indicates the enumerator should have listed Maud as 'daughter' and Mildred as 'grand daughter'. However, it's VERY obvious Maud is not the wife of Wallace!

Until I find a wife for Wallace and possibly an earlier census indicating he had a daughter, Maud, will leave 'as is'. He was born on 21 September 1841. He was the son of David Lent and Eleanor (Witt) DeWitt.

Abraham Lent married Leonice (Leone) Moulton Holmes, daughter of Samuel Nelson Holmes and Susan A. Chester, on 4 November 1868 at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA.

1910 Census, is listed in Petaluma as widowed, but b. MA with parents b. England. His daughter, Ethel listed with him, aged 18, b. California, mother also b. CA, working as a clerk in a milliners store. As usual, David listed as carpenter (as were most of his brothers). He was born on 31 July 1851 at Clements, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the son of David Lent and Eleanor (Witt) DeWitt.
