  • Name: Joseph Clifford Doucette
  • Birth: 04-MAR-1897 in: Forest Glen, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, Canada
  • Death:
  • Father:
  • Mother:

Notes: WWI timeframe, resided Weymouth, Digby Co - Date of birth taken from WWI record.

Chances are, every son also had middle name of Joseph, and at least some have proven that point.

Would suspect, since Clifford and Gladys had children between 1922 and 1931, this is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT CLIFFORD DOUCETTE!, but listing here to be safe:

ANOTHER Clifford who married @1927 to Ann Beatrice Melanson (b. 1907)??? Children of Clifford and Ann Melanson are listed as: Paul, Gerald, Willia, Lawrence, Christina, and John.

Doucettes in Forest Glen in 1911 Census:

1 118 Doucette Martin M Head M Jul 1854 56 1901
2 118 Doucette Ruth F Wife M Jul 1864 46 1901
3 118 Doucette Clifford M Son S Mar 1886 25 1901 WAY off! Unless I read WWI record wrong... if 1887, not far off at all, and a better match with the Gladys Saulnier born 1886 (or 1884)
4 118 Doucette Isreal M Son S Aug 1896 14 1901
5 118 Doucette Regginald M Son S Apr 1903 8 1901
6 118 Doucette Jessie F Daughter Aug 1898 12 1901
7 118 Doucette Addie F Daughter S Jan 1901 10 1901

In Belleville, Yarmouth Co, NS:

44 28 Doucette Marie F Wife M Aug 1882 28 1901

Notes: The following is the only Gladys Saulnier listed in 1901 Census. Should the actual date of birth on Joseph Clifford proved to be 1887 vice 1897, there's a good chance this Gladys is correct. However, the WWI record (Canadian) on J.C. is FAIRL Y clear. That said, neither appear in 1901 or 1911 transcriptions to date (UNLESS the 1886 and 1887 dates ARE the correct ones).

Also means Gladys could WELL be the Gladys in the following 1901 Census record for Arcadia, Yarmouth Co, NS:

11 17 106 Saulnier James M Head M Aug 6 1855 45
11 18 106 Saulnier Agnes F Wife M Sep 8 1865 35

11 23 106 Saulnier John M Son S May 11 1890 10
11 24 106 Saulnier Joseph T. M Son S Jul 8 1891 9
11 25 106 Saulnier Catherine F Daughter S Sep 1 1900 7 mo.
