Born in Yarmouth County, he was a son of the late Clifford and Gladys ( SAULNIER ) DOUCETTE. He was a veteran of the Second World War . He worked in the woods and the lumber mills. Surviving are his common-law wife, Eleanor COOK; daughters, Mary MACCORMACK and Claudette DURAN, both of Weymouth; Alma CORKUM, Bridgewater; Ruth LOMBARD, Ashmore, Digby Co.; Annette HENDERSON, Truro ; Dorothy STEVENS and Moura TAYLOR, both of Annapolis; Tanya, Digby; stepdaughter, Linda RUDOLPH, Belliveau Cove; son, Ralph Jr., Owen Sound, Ont.; stepsons, Gary BROWN, Meteghan Station; Allan and Bobby BROWN, both of Weymouth; sisters, Doroth y MACCORMACK, Weymouth; Ruth MELANSON, Plympton; Mary Esther BOUCHER, Kentville; brothers, Clifford DOUCETTE, Gilberts Cove; Gifford and Reginald, both of Weymouth; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Blanche , Beatrice, Ethel; brothers, Leaman, Francis. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Weymouth, Father Larry PITCHER officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
