Notes: Francis, James, and John Jordan (early of the name in Sunbury). According to Esther Clark Wright there was also a GILBERT Jordan, in her listing of New Brunswick Loyalists in the 1783-1785 timeframe. As one of William's sons reflects that name , there's a fair chance Gilbert is connected to William. It would appear that Gilbert was b. 1774, married in Aug-1795 to Mary Conden, and was s/o John Jordan and Mary Ann Daniels. No POB, no POD, but POM was St John, NB, Canada. Just three yea rs before William was born! Apparently, William is NOT the William, son of Gilbert Jordan, though likely a cousin. 1851 Census, Sheffield, Sunbury, p10 William Jordan 53, birth, Elizabeth 50, William 30; Mary Ann 27; Catherine 21; Gilbert 17; Susanna 15; Hannah 12; Charles A. 10; John 8; Naomi 6. 1871 Census, Sheffield Household 196: William Jordan 60, NB; Charles 25, John 23; Methodist, English
Notes: Seen more often as "Elizabeth Hanselpecker." She and William were married by David Burpee, JP.
