Notes: Colin and his brother? Asa, were the only two Porters listed in Digby County for the 1838 Census, Colin in Digby Town, and Asa in Hillsburgh. Suspect that Asa COULD have been Asa, the father, rather than the brother, and maybe younger Asa was livi ng in his household, as the total for that house was 10 and it could have been a blended/mixed generation family.

For now, will leave as son of Asa and Sarah, as he is SURELY listed as son of Sarah in Baptismal record.
