Notes: May be son of Johannes (younger - as listed) or Johannes (elder) or Michel. with Johannes the younger being the more likely choice. This Coonrad/Conrad is another cause for wonder about the "Packer" surname theories. If Conrad Packer was liste d in the 1793 tax lists, and this man married in 1808 as a Hanselpacker, why??? I firmly believe, the continuation of the family line, in Bergen County, under the Packer surname, is very much in question. Until firm proof can be made/found, I su ggest that they either "died off", without "issue." Or, those who did live on, moved up to New Brunswick, Canada, along with the rest of the Hanselpackers. Another date of marriage is sometimes found, still in 1808, still February, but the 25th rather than the 7th. SPECIAL NOTE: A Conrad Packer appears on Tax Lists of Bergen County, in both 1793 (of Franklin) and 1819 (of Saddle River). Is this the same Conrad? Did he and Elizabeth choose to "Anglicize" the surname, so as not to be identified with the Loyalist bunch? There was a Conrad Packer who married ?Clara?, they had a child, Clara Packer, b. @14-Oct-1809, Wyckoff, Bergen Co, NJ. Clara died 07-Dec-1870, Wyckoff, and is buried in Wyckoff, DRC Cemetery. She married Andrew Hopper, 29-Aug-1835. They had at LEAST one child, buried in the Sturr Cemetery in Bergen... Peter A. Hopper, s/o Andrew J. and Clara A. Hopper, d. 24-Jul-1848, aged 2y, 11m, 0 days (b. 24-Aug-1845).
