JOSEPH NELSON HANDSPIKER, 63, of Mount Pleasant, Digby County died Friday at the Digby General Hospital. Born in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of the late James and Mary Saulnier Handspiker. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Titus ; three sons, Beverley, of Digby; Darrell of Halifax; and Curtis of Ingersoll, Ont.; three daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Charles Seeley) of Mount Pleasant; Marilyn (Mrs. Guy Poirier), of New Jersey; and Virginia (Mrs. Harry Lewis), of Conway; four brot hers, Angus and Frank of Mount Pleasant; Lorne of British Columbia; Vincent of Ontario; five sisters, Viola (Mrs. Digby Baxter) of Digby; Rita (Mrs. Boyd Germaine), of Digby; Fostina (Mrs. Douglas Harris), of Mount Pleasant; Myrtle and Levin e of Ontario; and 11 grandchildren. The funeral service will be held in the Church of God in Digby at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Baptist Cemetery, Digby.
