Notes: Often listed as "Alixander" at least in LDS records. This may actually prove to be the more correct spelling, as spelling it with the "i" has provided important clues about the man, his origins and his family. MAY be same listed as died, 1834, age 68 (puts year of birth at @1766, which is already in some sources). Likely same Alexander being researched by Carol McDonough (post in 1998) Indicates he came from NYC to Argyle area in 1783. Suspect his birth data listing 1767 in Argyle may be more guesswork than well-sourced data. Based on information from Argyle, it is likely Alexander/Alixander died between June and August 1808. He wrote his will in June and it was probated in August.
