Golarte, Golart, Goulard, Goulart, and Goularte Golarte records at Ellis Island show origin as Fayal, Hota, Portugal - Azores? Others from Pico. In searching the Ellis Island database, did come across the following, which is a bit close: Carolina Ferreira Goulart, from Cabo da Praia, Azores, arrived 23-Jul-1911, aged 25 (puts b.d. closer to 1886), listed marital status was "Married", arrived on the "Martha Washington" which had departed from Terceira, Angra do Heroismo, Portugal. As for the area in 1910, Bristol County, MA had several Goulart families from Azores.
