BRADFORD - Unexpectedly at his residence on April 23, 1997, Mr. Harold Lester Bradford of Pennfield, husband of Marina M. (Clarke) Bradford. Born in Blacks Harbour on Dec. 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Donald E. and Cora (Burrell) Bradford . He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Blacks Harbour. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Harold loved the outdoors, particularly hunting.
He is survived by his wife; his grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Spencer of McAdam; one son, Harold Richard Jr. and wife Darlene of Beaver Harbour; four daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Robert Hanselpacker), St. George, Susan Marie Bradford, Saint John, Fran ces (Mrs. Allen Murray), St. George and Geneva (Mrs. Matthew Dehkurdi) of British Columbia; 10 grandchildren, Darren Hanselpacker, Jill (Mrs. Derek Cheney), Jan and Alyson Murray, Hannah and Ashely Bradford, all of St. George, David, Jonathan, Ben jamin and Andrew Dehkurdi of British Columbia; one great-grandson, Cameron of Fitzgerald of Saint John; three brothers, Roy of Pennfield, Fred of Hampton and Donnie of Lake Utopia; four sisters, Twilah (Mrs. Leo Rhynold), Beaver Harbour, Irene (Mr s. Louis Gagne), Blacks Harbour, Judy Sommerville, Blacks Harbour, Delores (Mrs. Douglas Lockhart) of Blacks Harbour; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Marie (Doucet) Bradford; four sisters, Donaldena, Ann, Stella and Pren a and one brother, Burrell.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, N.B. Funeral service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. from the United Pentecostal Church in Blacks Harbour. Interment in the Blacks Harbour Community Cemetery.
