Notes: In Sep-1918, resided 47 Armandine in Dorchester, MA. Wife listed as Grace Darling Cripps. James' occupation listed as book keeper. Divorced sometime between 1920 and 1930, by 1940s James was married to Edith, and living back in Baltimore. Interestingly, in 1913, James was listed as the Rear-Commodore for the Royal Western Nova Scotia Yacht Club, in Digby, Nova Scotia. Perhaps the family still summered in Digby? SPECIAL NOTE: In truth, I have little to NO idea on James' parentage. SURELY his mother was listed as Ella F. in census records, but who his father was is a matter of pure guesswork. The current line of thinking is based on a Florence Cripps, lis ted in a single entry census record, but household matches up to a Susan Burns HoH in Baltimore, with a son-in-law named John S. Cripps.
