Notes: Edward is son of (according to Brian Grant-Paul) of William Corbett, III, b. 1776, and his wife, Harriet Mariah Holt. Should earlier generations be desired on this Corbett line, suggest looking up Brian's ancestral lines "Brian's Big Family". Em igrant ancestor was William Corbett (I), b. @1725, Glasgow, Scotland, who died in the Shubenacadie River in an overturned boat, in October of 1784. He was listed as a gunsmith, and one can only presume he was a Loyalist, and more information ma y some day be uncovered on his Scottish origins. Indeed, in Brian's notes, Edward (I) served with General Wolfe in Quebec, so some military records may still provide earlier information on this line.
Seems to be at least one of the main progenitors of this line in Five Islands.
